That seems to be the question I ask myself as my 40th approaches with more vigor then a boy on Prom night.But all that crappy propaganda of tan is the new black..50 is the new 40, is just crap.It just seems to me that the people writing the articles, who are going through this aging process are Clearly NOT handling "growing old" gracefully..and who says you have too?..Well at the very least have a bit of dignity..Don't go out and get hair plugs,or buy true Religion jeans and grow your sideburns in so you have a cool picture of yourself for your myspace page...
But it is in my opinion ,and mine only, that things work out better when you accept certain absolutes in life.You don't have to like them,but you do have to deal with it,and refusal of these laws?..Well it just prolongs your humiliation.So quit the comb over -Shave your head-(Donald Trump)..Get a nice suit,buy a great timeless watch,invest in a Leica Camera to document your next 40,and get a bottle of fantastic red wine and enjoy what every other human being that has ever lived , goes through...
"A right of passage" you have earned it.........
